BC Provincial Cyclocross Championships, 2009

This past weekend was the BC Provincial Cyclocross Championships, which provided an awesome day of racing!!! Kevin Calhoun put together an amazing course, and a big thanks to him and the rest of the volunteers for setting everything up.

As for my race, though there were only three juniors racing, I made the best of it and came out with the win. Right from the start I went out front and continued to extend my lead until the finish. It was a 40 minute mud fest, on a very fast course. The mud pits made for some sore legs and the barriers, set up three in a row, didn't make it any easier at all. It was an awesome finish to a great cross season, and I finally got myself a provincial title for 2009, something I had really been working towards.
